Who are we? Saint Andrew’s International Church is a diverse and interdenominational community of Christians. Although from many countries around the world, we are united in our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We are an evangelical, bible-based fellowship, providing a warm and welcoming church family to those people (local and international, permanent and transient) seeking a Christ-centered spiritual home and foundation for their lives. We are an independent, self-supporting church with two English-language services every Sunday and numerous opportunities for serving and growing in faith.
What is our mission? Under God, and for his glory, we aim to make and mature disciples of the Lord Jesus through vibrant worship, authentic discipleship and compassionate service. Together as a community, we worship, learn, share, pray and serve - encouraging one another to grow and obey our Lord Jesus Christ. As members of His body, we are committed to following His mandate through our mission according to the vision He has given us.
What do we believe? We are a church family of diverse backgrounds, nationalities and denominational experiences. We find our unity in the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and seek to keep the Gospel of His kingdom the main thing.

How did we begin? On November 7th, 1952, the constitution of the church was officially adopted and St. Andrew's Church was born. Rev. Paul Olander was the first pastor and services were held at our present location, Sina Street 66, the premises of the German Evangelical Church. The name St. Andrew's had been given by Scots who were part of the informal congregation of British forces that had been meeting since 1948 after the end of the war. In 1976, to meet the needs of the English-speaking community in the northern suburbs, a second worship service was started in Kifissia. Pastor Wes Jones began services in the Biology Lab at Tassis School but since 2004 the Kifissia congregation has met in the hall of St. Catherine's British School.
How are we structured? We are one church family meeting in two locations. We conduct Sunday worship gatherings in downtown Athens and in the North of Athens. The church does not own any real estate or buildings and therefore rents its worship facilities. We also rent a church office at Lakonias 24, near Panormou metro station in Ampelokipi.
A church council made up of a minimum of seven members plus the pastor forms the governing body of the church. Both congregations are represented on the council and council members are selected from the congregation and voted on by the members at the annual church business meeting in February. Council members serve one year terms serving up to maximum of three consecutive terms in the same position.
The church has three paid staff members. The pastor is employed on a full-time basis and the church administrator and the worship leader are both employed in a part time capacity.

How do you become a member? Membership of St. Andrew's is open to all who sincerely profess faith in Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord. Prospective candidates complete a membership card, meet with the pastor or his representative, and their names are then presented to the church council for confirmation. Membership of St. Andrew's does not invalidate membership in one's "home" church.
All members are encouraged to take an active role in the ministry of the church and to use their gifts for the benefit of the body of Christ, their own personal growth, and the glory of God. Joining a small group bible study is strongly recommended.
