The Easter “Sonrise” Service is an annual service on Philopappou Hill next to the Acropolis which is held on Non-Orthodox Easter Sunday. The service starts at 6.30 a.m. and is interdenominational, international and multi-lingual. The crowd that gathers is from many nations and ethnic groups and it is a very moving experience to be part of such a diverse group, united in Christ.
Parking is available at the bottom of Philopappou Hill in the car park of Dionysos Restaurant. You follow the pathway up to the viewing platform which over looks the

The viewing platform of has a few stone seats for the early arrivals but as more people

The service starts as the sun comes up over the Acropolis which is breathtakingly beautiful and also a visual reminder of how God’s mercies are new every morning. God once again reaffirms His love and saving grace for all those who trust in the Lord Jesus as their
